Adoption process for kittens

It is very easy to adopt a kitten. All you need to do is -

  • read our adoption criteria below
  • complete our application form
  • agree a time to have your homecheck 
  • pay your non-refundable reservation fee of £75 (deductable from your adoption fee) subject to a successful homecheck
  • pay the remainder of your adoption fee of  when your kitten leaves Romania after their preparation
  • sign your adoption contract 
  • meet your kitten which will either be transported to your home or a designated meeting point.

Criteria for adopting a kitten

You must read the following conditons before applying for one of our kittens.  If you do not agree to the terms then please do not submit an application to us. You must - 

  • live in mainland UK
  • be 21 years of age or over
  • have a rescue back-up contact if you’re 60 years of age or over to ensure the cat is looked after if you are no long able to do so yourself
  • live away from busy roads, railway lines or built-up areas
  • keep the kitten inside for at least 3 weeks, preferably longer, while they settle into their new home and get used to their surroundings
  • either have a cat flap, permanently open window or an outdoor cat house that the cat can access at all times.
  • have an indoor litter tray available to the kitten
  • only apply if any existing dogs have lived with cats before
  • only apply if any existing cats are used to living with other cats, particularly new kittens later in life
  • only apply if everyone in the home agrees to the adoption of the kitten
  • not have children under 5 years old
  • have permission from your landlord to keep pets if you live in rented accommodation
  • agree to have a homecheck as part of the application process
  • agree to take the kitten with no previous introductions, as the kitten will travel direct to you from Romania
  • allow your kitten to settle in, this can take weeks sometimes months depending on the kitten
  • agree to work through any issues that arise with advice and guidance
